Reading Recommendations for Studying Warp Drives

 Hello All,

I have received dozens of emails in the past months asking me for what essentially amounts to a warp drive course curriculum.  This post contains a list of background reading I would recommend for those interested in studying and researching warp drives. Many technical topics have contributed to my research in this area so far, but I will narrow my selection to those that were the most useful in the research that led to Breaking the Warp Barrier (also at https://arxiv.org/abs/2006.07125v2). These works are written at or above the level of upper undergraduate studies in physics or mathematics. Some of the text books are expensive, but may be available at your local library or through an inter-library loan (WorldCat links  provided). Where available, links to freely available pre-prints are provided in addition to journal links for research articles.

I may expand on this list at a later date as my work in this area expands.

Text Books:

Lecture Notes:

Research Papers:

Enjoy your Friday,

Erik

  1. Nice list, thanks! Are you still working on trying to get the energy requirements down with your warp drive design? Any progress to share yet?

  2. Warp Drive & Stellar Navigation

    Hi Erik,

My name is Jason & I'm reaching out to you from Australia, as I've noticed that your blog is related to the above topic of "Warp Drive" I can see that you have been speaking with the guys Alexey Bobrick, and Gianni Martire on warp info that was introduced to us by miguel alcubierre. Firstly, please understand that all of this is way over my head/understanding but wanted to alert you to a link that is supposedly from a Taygetan race of which talks about Toroids & cancelling gravity, gravitational generators etc, & wondered if the info was real & if it is, how could somebody be so brilliant to have this technology. Now, I'm hoping that as your reading it, you wont dismiss the link to the channel below that actually does have some very interesting information about how it all works for them.. Anyway. If you can get something out of it, & progress humanity them I have done my bit.

The youtube channel is called Cosmic Agency, if you go through the videos you will come across several videos titled "Stellar Navigation" part 1 through part 4 or 5 I believe, they are about 2 years old now, but, you will either laugh at it, or you may find some of it interesting..

    Kind Regards,

    Jason C

  3. Hi Erik, have you seen this paper https://www.academia.edu/41573263/AN_ENGINEERING_MODEL_OF_QUANTUM_GRAVITY ? I know it tackles a little more than just warp travel, but I personally found it very intriguing . What do you think about it?
